Merry Christmas

Soldiers not actively campaigning celebrated Christmas in several ways. Union soldiers
would use salt pork and hardtack to decorate Christmas trees. Here workers from the railroad visit with soldiers to admire their tree.

    Did you know that Mike Rowe is from the Baltimore area? He attends my father's church when he's in town- which as you mention, is when he's not busy elsewhere! Merry Christmas!
