That's later than my time period, but it's close enough.Berniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14041125155303909803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7108382665458119460.post-6476806208103349032010-08-15T21:29:47.155-04:002010-08-15T21:29:47.155-04:00Wow! Did the engines look that fancy "in the day" or is this something more of a commemorative thing, from a more modern era?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7108382665458119460.post-1006610033699007002010-08-13T17:53:50.839-04:002010-08-13T17:53:50.839-04:00I am indeed revering to "Little Mac" McC...I am indeed revering to "Little Mac" McCellan and thought this engine was named for him.
Thanks for correcting me.

BobBob Harrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15499619307977151664noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7108382665458119460.post-79019887069305838342010-08-13T15:44:57.821-04:002010-08-13T15:44:57.821-04:00Bob,

This loco is named after BG McCallum, the superintendent of the USMRR.Berniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14041125155303909803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7108382665458119460.post-79377596059443968252010-08-13T12:34:35.940-04:002010-08-13T12:34:35.940-04:00This is such a pretty engine. As a carrier for the artwork the Railroad service could not of done better. I often wondered how this engine was maintained after the General's removal from service and during his' campaign for the Presidency. Just a stunning combination. Good choice for a model.

BobBob Harrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15499619307977151664noreply@blogger.com
